Docs Placing Orders

Placing Orders

The order ticket is where you take a position. Pick a side, choose how it fills, and review before anything goes live. Every order passes a two-step safety flow — Review Order, then Confirm — so nothing executes by accident.

Buy / SellThe direction of your order.
TypeMarket (fill now) or Limit (rest until your price).
OutcomeYes or No.
AmountHow much to trade.
PriceYour target price (limit orders).

Market Buy

The fastest way in — fill at the best available price right now.

1

Pick a side

Choose Yes or No on the market.

2

Enter amount

Set how much you want to buy.

3

Review

Open the Review Order screen to check the details.

4

Submit

A server preflight validates the order before execution, then it fills.

Market Sell

Closing a position works the same way, with one important difference: the amount is in shares, not dollars.

⚠️
Market sell can execute at available liquidity and may fill below the displayed current price.
ℹ️
A position can only be market-sold from the web UI if the outcome is a Yes/No token. Non-binary outcomes can't be market-sold from web.

Advanced Options

Beyond a plain market order, the ticket exposes risk controls and automation.

Stop-Loss / Take-ProfitAttach automatic exits to your position. See Stop-Loss & Take-Profit.
Auto-RedeemAutomatically redeem winning positions when the market resolves.
📌
Want price control instead of immediacy? Use a resting order — see Limit Orders.
